Licence&Regulatory Overview
PuppyBet operates under the Tobique Gaming Commission licence and combines their casino, live casino and sportsbook products into a single account that you can log in to. The operator takes a robust approach to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML), reserving the right to ask for ID documents, proof of address and any other verification they need at any point in your relationship with them. Yes, this is a stricter process than some of their competitors, but at least the rules are clearly spelled out and consistently applied - no hidden surprises.
Advantages for Players
{% ui'table', True,'|','#', [('Advantage','Advantage'),('Details','Details')],'small'%} Clear KYC policy#It's all very straightforward - they explain identity and security procedures in good detail|Multi-currency support#You can deposit and withdraw in several different currencies with them|No withdrawal fee after a bit of play#Once you've met the minimum wagering requirement, you're free to withdraw without being charged|High withdrawal limit#You can take out up to €50,000 a month, given that you've met the requirements|Take control of your gaming#Self-exclusion options are available to help you manage your gaming {% endui %}
Verification&Account Security
Don't get me wrong - the withdrawal policy is fairly player-friendly if you have a bit of money in your account and you've had a go on the games. But on the other hand, if you're just using the casino as a way to transfer cash around you might find yourself slapped with an 8% withdrawal fee. And the operator also gets to play hardball - they can freeze your account, limit your betting or require additional verification before they'll let you withdraw any cash.
{% ui'table', True,'|','#', [('Risk','Risk'),('Details','Details')],'small'%} Regulatory risk#Their licence doesn't offer the same level of protection as a major European regulator does|They can close your account whenever they like#They get to decide when it's time to shut down your betting account|You might need to send selfies and other extra checks before you can withdraw#You'd better be prepared to send in some extra ID if they want it|Fees when you're not playing#You'll get hit with an 8% withdrawal fee if you haven't had a bet yet|Dormant account fee#They'll charge €5 a month if you're not using your account after a year {% endui %}
Risks&Player Considerations
From a risk point of view, PuppyBet presents a bit of a mixed picture really. On the plus side, the terms are all clearly spelled out and they're doing their bit to look after your well-being as a player - but then you have to consider that their regulator isn't exactly the strongest out there. So, players who value strict compliance checks and being on top of their account info are going to be right at home here. On the other hand, risk-averse players might want to look elsewhere - at a casino with a stronger European regulator for a start.
{% ui'table', True,'|','#', [('Category','Category'),('Assessment','Assessment')],'small'%} Licence Strength#Medium at best|KYC Strictness#Very strict indeed|Withdrawal Friendliness#Middle of the road really|Player Protection#Not the best, but not the worst either|Terms Transparency#Highly transparent|Overall Trust Level#A bit of a middling affair {% endui %}
